Emily Dickinson Among Friends: A Birthday Celebration

present the intimate personal life of Emily Dickinson through
readings, slides and performance. Hart examines the critical
editorial and collaborative role played by Susan Huntington
Dickinson, Emily's friend, sister-in- law, beloved, and neighbor of
over thirty-six years. A¡fe Murray introduces the audience to the
formidable character of Margaret Maher and describes how the
servants were instrumental in Dickinson's vocation and her working
strategies as a writer.
