forged a singular career through his originality as a composer and
independent stance toward music-business fashions. "A Cure for
Gravity" is Jackson's entertaining and self-revealing memoir of
growing up musical, from an impoverished childhood in an English

Kathleen/Gerald Hill: Hill Food And Wine Lover's Guides
Stacey's Bookstore, 581 Market St.
Kathleen and Gerald Hill had enjoyed eminent reputations for many
years as authors of books on the culinary arts. But a friend urged
her to write about what she knew and really loved, the consequence
was The Hill Guides -- beautiful and informative guides to the good
life in the wine territories of the west coast. The Hills will
discuss their food and wine lover's guides to Sonoma Valley and
Santa Barbara and the Central Coast. Learn how to plan the best
wine tasting trip or a delightful day-trip, and enjoy wine chosen
by the Hill's from their favorite local wineries.
