In addition to reading from her novel, Huffey will discuss her writing and publishing process. In her book, Huffey introduces us to the midwestern bible-quoting, tongues-speaking family of Roxanne Fish. "The Hallelujah Side" is an unforgettable story of the conflict between a woman's desire to be saved and her yearning to experience the beauty and variety of the world. The daughter of two Pentecostal preachers, Huffey is a magazine writer, a dancer, and a backup screamer to a retro-punk band.
