AST PenExec
First it's a Slate, then it's a Laptop!
The AST PenExec was developed by GRiD, which also sold it as the 2260
and 2270 Convertibles. It features an innovative case design which
incorporates a set of hinges which allows the system to fold up with
the screen on the outside.
This allows the computer to be used as a pen-based tablet when needed,
but also providing for a full (for a laptop) keyboard.
I was very happy to add this to my collection, as I have been looking
for something like this to use in my Land Rover. With the system
closed, it will be great as a navigation tool, and at the end of the
day, I'll pop open the keyboard to make notes in my journal.
Unfortunately, I got this without a power supply or manual, so if
you've got either that you don't need, I'd definitely be interested in
taking it off your hands.
